Colors work for me straight out of the tube and they are moisturizing. The colors can probably be duped but the best thing about these is that for me there is no tweaking or mixing required. Since they are so creamy I do need to blot once otherwise it looks like I have too much product on. All the colors and glossy shine are just perfect to me. Texture is indeed smooth and creamy with a very slight tingle to me.

These are described as sheer and creamy, but to me they seem to have medium to full coverage. I personally love this style of lipstick because I feel they’re less prone to breakage, especially with the Florida heat outdoors sometimes can soften the base and make my lipsticks break. The Plenty of Pout Plumping Lipstick that come in a similar tube style to the Huggable Lipsticks (now discontinued), Liptensity Lipsticks and Tendertalk Balms. There are 6 shades of the Plenty of Pout Plumping Lipstick and 1 shade for the Plenty of Pout Plumping Lip Gloss. Still the colors in this launch looked perfect and nothing would stop me from trying them. Also many tingle lip products are so strong I can’t handle the sting. As one with naturally full lips I usually don’t look for pluming lip products (I don’t want them bigger!). At the same time they have oils to moisturize and smooth. These contain a ginger root complex that has a cooling sensation to make lips look volumized upon application.

It has a selection of lipsticks and one lip gloss with plumping ingredients they say are meant to “take lips to their very fullest potential.” MAC describes these has having a full bee-stung look with sheer, creamy colour. It may even make an appearance in my Fall Beauty Edit.MAC launched a limited-edition collection called Plenty of Pout. The rich rusty browns and jewel tones are perfect for this upcoming season. And I know I’m going to get a lot more use out of it in the fall. Overall, I’m happy with this purchase, and I recommend it! Is it the perfect palette? No, but I still adore it. It would’ve been a nice additional pop of color.
If I could change one thing, I’d remove the shade Deception, and add a smokey green or teal similar to what Aaliyah wore in the Are You That Somebody video. The three colors in the top row work nicely together as do the ones in the middle row. Also, I find that I can create different looks with each row. Then add the darker colors for some smokey drama. You can easily create daytime or office appropriate looks. Another shade I didn’t care for was Dance In The Dark, it’s a bit muddy and didn’t perform the best for me. It applies patchy and has very little color payoff. It’s the most disappointing shade for me. There are a few duds I had hard time with Deception. You can also find it on MAC’s Warm Neutral Palette. I was happy to see Gingersnap, it’s my favorite shade. Some of these colors are also reminiscent of the 90’s. She wore a lot of purple and silver in her videos like Try Again, and We Need a Resolution. The shades are in keeping with Aaliyah’s looks at the time. My one criticism is that it doesn’t have a mirror. It’s very Aaliyah and resembles her style and aesthetic. And One in a Million is a legendary song it’s my favorite.įirst, I love the burgundy metallic packaging with silver lettering. Her rendition of ( At Your Best) You Are Love surpassed the original. At such a young age, Aaliyah was so far ahead of her time. Her songs were on permanent repeat throughout my high school years, and when she died, I was heartbroken. Aaliyah is a major part of the soundtrack of my life, I have every album. I had to get something from this collection.
